Welcome to my web site on France.  My goal is to help you experience some of the many wonders of a country I've grown to cherish for its plentiful sights, experiences, and beauty.  Included in these pages are short exposés of places Í've visited, with pictures to help you visualize them.  I offer pointers on dining, sight-seeing, and the odd amusing encounter that, I believe, endears me to France each time I return.

 

Imagine yourself overlooking the Baie des Anges in Nice, with the expansive Mediterranean at your feet.  Or single out a chateau in Burgundy for an afternoon of wine tasting.  Dine at an out-of-the-way restaurant whose chef considers every serving worthy of his directed, perfectionist attention.  Take Paris in small chunks, to savor hidden corners or delight in a grand monument, but promise yourself to return.  France, like all charming destinations, presents opportunity for renewal, refreshment, and ever watchfulness.  Bon voyage!
